After the August break, The Gathering begins again on Wednesday, 3rd September with our InGathering night (including our gathered meal).
There are exciting things for us to explore as we journey deeper into the elements which have begun to mark The Gathering and we’ll be in touch again to share more.
One of the things we’ll be doing is inviting you to suggest things for us to look at. Just get in touch if you have something on your mind .
In the meantime, here are the dates for our evenings taking us all the way to Christmas:

We’re getting together to do a night on the free fringe!
First, we’ll see improv comedy with Captains of Industry at the Counting House:
Then we’ve an hour to make it over to the voodoo rooms for the weird and wonderful cabaret of the Creative Martyrs
Both shows are free and unticketed, just bring some change to throw in their buckets!
Meet at the Counting House from 6pm for the 6:30 show
and/or join us at the Voodoo Rooms from 8pm for the 8:25pm show.
Let us know if you’re coming! (email@example.com)
Spring is coming to Edinburgh. As the bulbs push up through the well-tended earth of the botanic gardens and the city begins to shrug off its enormous coats and boots, the Gathering is entering a new phase.
Last year we identified five ‘marks’ with which we want to be known. Jesus, Prayer, Imagination, Community & Hospitality. This year we are really going to try and live those out. In order to do that, we’re subtly shaping what we’re going to do when we meet up over the next few weeks.
Firstly, we’ll be eating together as much as possible, bringing food to share and ordering in pizza!
Secondly, we’ll be exploring Edinburgh together, making space to really listen to God and to our city.
Thirdly, we’ll be doing some practical stuff – so if you’re good with a paintbrush, hammer or saw then please join us at our InGathering’s as we try to create a hospitable space in the heart of Edinburgh for creativity and life.
Here’s our schedule for Spring so that you know when you can drop in and join us.

As the nights draw in its the perfect time to get together with friends around a hot mug of coffee or to snuggle down in a cosy pub. Here’s the Gathering’s plans for autumn and winter.
We’ve got a new venue for our twice monthly worship get-togethers. We’re meeting at the fab Cafe Camino, 1 Little King Street (next to John Lewis!) where we’re provided each time with the most delectable tray bakes in all of Edinburgh and an endless supply of fresh tea and coffee. Those meetings are on the first and third wednesday of every month. We’ll always start with half an hour for us all to sample those cakes and get to know one another and there’s usually a trip to a local pub afterwards too.
