We are now Gathering @ The Well …

  • Gathering@The Well meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month
  • From 6.30pm to 7.15pm we meet in the Well Café – we join in a shared meal (& if you are able to, bring something to contribute to the table).
  • From 7.15 to 8.30pm we carry out our activity for the evening. Just join for this part if you prefer.

Wednesday 7 September: Broken into beautiful!
Join us for the evening as we turn “trash” into treasure; broken into beautiful. We will have a collection of broken objects, bits and pieces, left-over fabrics, ribbons etc. which may be seen as rubbish, ready to be thrown away and make them into beautiful things which you can take home. We begin looking at beauty from brokenness; how God knows our flaws and our “brokenness” but loves us anyway….We will continue with reflections on “brokenness” on 21st September.

Wednesday 21 September: Beauty from the dust…
We continue exploring “brokenness” and use the words of Gungor’s song Beautiful Things to shape our evening: “You make beautiful things from the dust, you make beautiful things out of us”. How God transforms our brokenness into beauty; values all we are, loves us for who we are. During the evening, we will reflect and explore how that may translate into our lives today.

Wednesday 5 October: Who are these neighbours we are denied to love?
Laurent Vernet who has spent time visiting the refugee camps in Calais will come to speak to us about his experiences.
